It's that end of year time where its lovely to reflect and remember the last year of work and life.

I don't know how to whittle down all the incredible moments and weddings I've witnessed this year, so this one's a simple celebration of a handful of single image stories I've taken over the last years' weddings.

Being a wedding photographer means I get to travel all around to some really cool places.

These are a handful of my more unusual venues from 2025 and each one has been incredible in their own ways...

Dartmoor; Moorlands hotel, an epic location for moor access, wild weather, stunning backdrops.

Carnglaze caverns; literally you can get married in a cave, need I say more! There's also stunning gardens for reception afterwards.

Walton Castle; I can't wait to share more from this soon, but if you want a classic showstopper venue in Somerset, go visit.

We The Curious Bristol; Getting married in a planetarium is pretty put there, and you can also explore the museum afterwards.

Private venue in Frome; unique, quirky, yet classic and beautiful exterior space. The most stunning exterior with quirky added inside, gorgeous staircase, piano, library etc

This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing my last wedding of 2025, and it was a secret wedding too! This beautiful pair had a gorgeous intimate celebration at Bath Guildhall, followed by a city walk and afternoon tea with some fun activities planned for the rest of the day.

I always love shooting in Bath. There are so many beautiful photo spots within minutes of the register office no matter what time of year. And, I've said it before, Bath registry office is for sure one of the prettiest ones around!

In honour of keeping their day secret a little longer, I'm not sharing their faces just yet, but there are some stunning ones to come!

I love to photograph non traditional weddings; handfastings, symbolic ceremonies, elopements etc. It's awesome to see the diversity in these 'non wedding' celebrations, and I'm a big believer in doing weddings your way.

Top favourites include this intimate handfasting on Watergate beach in Cornwall on summer solstice/midsummer day 😊 gorgeous couple, beautiful memories, and what an idyllic location. I loved photographing it!
They also planned their second official ceremony for the winter solstice later that year, which was a super special touch.

I say this a lot, I love dogs as weddings, they add extra fun energy to your day, and if they're a part of your family, they should be there!

This beautiful girl just loved lying on the brides gown, and we didnt feel the need to move her. It just adds more special photos to your wedding gallery!

I would love to see more pets at weddings; cats and any other species all welcome, though I'm yet to photograph a wedding with a cat there in real life still 😄

This is some Ilford black and white film from this lovely wedding last year in Bristol. We walked around the Clifton Downs and the colour digital looks so good with the greenery, but there's always a special touch to film/analogue photography.

I'm now including a sprinkle of analogue photography in all full day bookings, so I can create these images that align with my photography style even more.

What an epic day; the most chill couple, a gorgeous venue, fab suppliers, and stunning golden hour light.

L & N got married at a beautiful church in Salisbury, then onto the stunning Bake Barn on Fonthill estate for their reception and party time, with a little stop off at the Tisbury arch for some awesome couples photos featuring the Beetle car trio. (Can't wait to see the video from this too!). There were so many happy emotional moments, and some amazing personalised details - like M&M's with their faces on! Gosh this wedding season has been such a blur.
Still going hard for another several weeks and fully into the editing pile!

It feels like forever ago now that I'm remembering this one from July, at the most unique wedding venue; Carnglaze caverns in Cornwall. This is one of the most gorgeous wedding venues; an underground cave full of tealights, a glowing lake, so peaceful and special. It also helped to have this delightfully cool location in the heat of midsummer!

We also shot couples photos around the local area in a gorgeous wild woodland, very well suited to this nature loving couple ❤️

T & S got married at the lovely Radnor Rooms, right next to St Nicks market in Bristol. We had couples photos in the park and the nearby area, just look at those fuji greens!❤️ and ohh such a beautiful couple.

I adore shooting film but wedding days can be so full on with capturing everything that I haven't managed to include it so much yet this year. 35mm wedding photography is always available for my clients who want it as an add on, but I'll be tweaking things with some new packages coming out soon that means I'll be able to hopefully shoot analogue a little more moving forwards.

It's a cool take on the traditional bouquet toss. The blindfolded bride holds her bouquet, hung with ribbons, and the unmarried women/guests all take one and walk around maypole style. The groom cuts the ribbons until one is left; this is the person who 'catches' the bouquet!

Definitely worth trying if you want a more unusual wedding tradition!
