Tattoo artists at weddings are such a unique and amazing addition for alternative couples, or even simply tattoo rings for the newlyweds who may not favour a traditional jewellery ring. 5 Reasons to Have a Tattoo Artist at Your Wedding

  1. A Unique Experience for Guests. Most guests expect a photo booth or sweet table, not a pop-up tattoo station. Having a tattoo artist instantly makes your wedding stand out and gives everyone something to talk about long after the day. It’s a fun twist that brings personality and surprise.

  2. Meaningful Keepsakes. Instead of favours that get left behind, guests can leave with something permanent. Whether it’s a small symbol, date, or initial, tattoos make a lasting reminder of your day. Some couples even choose matching designs or create a simple motif linked to the wedding theme.

  3. Great Entertainment. Watching friends and family get tattooed adds a buzz to the atmosphere. It’s interactive and social, and it works especially well during the evening when guests are relaxed and looking for something fun to do between dancing and drinks.

  4. Perfect for the Bold Couple, tattoos are part of your story as a couple, bringing that into your wedding makes perfect sense. It’s a chance to celebrate your individuality and share something that reflects who you are, not just what tradition expects.

  5. The reactions, laughter, and detail shots of people getting inked make for brilliant photo opportunities. It adds depth and personality to your wedding gallery, capturing the spontaneous, memorable moments that make your day truly yours.

I'm so excited to share that I'll be partnering up with my sister at Ink & Earth to offer this to all current and future wedding couples. She's been designing and creating tattoos for 12 years now, similar to how long I've been working in photography! She offers handpoked style tattooing, and some examples of these detailed pieces can be viewed below.
